About
Steve Curtis became the General Manager of Burke Racquet & Swim Club in January. He remains as the Director of Operations for A Plus Tennis. Steve is also in his 17th season as the head coach for the Mason women’s tennis team. His Mason teams have distinguished themselves nationally on and off the tennis court. His teams have won as many as 21 matches in a season as well as consistently posting the highest scores possible for the Academic Progress Rates as determined by the NCAA which recognizes teams for finishing within the top 10 percent of the country.
Prior to joining A Plus, Steve was the head tennis professional at Springfield Golf and Country Club beginning in 1996-2018. Early in his career he played professionally in Europe and coached nationally ranked German junior tennis players. Steve also served as the President of the Munich International Tennis Club while organizing and directing the Munich and Augsburg United States Military Community adult and junior tennis programs.

Vinh Do's career up to date includes an extensive track record of training young student-athletes to successfully compete at the highest levels in tennis. In addition to being the full time Men's Assistant Coach at George Mason University, Vinh has also taught and mentored two current Div. I coaches as well as the International Tennis Federation's No. 5-ranked player in the world.
His players have earned tennis accolades such as gold balls and NCAA championships. Vinh was named Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year in 2007 and has also founded the Thai Tennis Organization of America, The Asian Festival (Reston, VA), and a USTA Pro-Circuit event that was adopted by the WTA.

A collegiate standout as both a player and a head coach at George Mason University, Jimmy has the versatility to motivate and develop top-level tennis talent. Jimmy was honored a first team all-conference player for both the A-10 as well as the CAA while also becoming the player with the most wins in GMU tennis program history.
Before excelling in collegiate play, Jimmy was the #2 ranked player in Virginia, a top 10 Mid-Atlantic player and a top 100 player in the country. Jimmy has enjoyed time as an ATP coach at the Citi Open as well as the current head coach for the Mason Mens team.

Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and energy as a former varsity player for George Mason University. He was awarded the CAA commissioners award and was a member of the National Collegiate Scholars association. Prior to competing for GMU, Steve was an ESPN RISE Top 10 DC/Metro area player, winning 1st team all-county honors twice and two Maryland Region 3 Doubles championships.
Before joining the A Plus Tennis team, Steve served as a Director in the Junior Program at FRC as well as an assistant director at SportFit Bowie.

Jimmy is the former #1 singles and doubles player at George Mason University earning first and second team all conference awards while graduating with a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering. He previously has coached at top national tennis academies including Smith Stearns Tennis Academy and Evert National Tennis Academy where he worked with players of all ages and levels including top international athletes.
Prior to competing at George Mason, he was ranked top 5 in the state of Georgia and top 100 in the nation as a junior competing in all 4 of the junior USTA super nationals and has wins over 3 current top 100 ATP players.

Julie Ruamthong graduated from the University of Virginia where she played for UVA’s Club Tennis Team, taught for UVA’s Intramural Tennis Program, and helped to coach their Junior Team.
In addition to teaching at BRSC, Julie also ran the after school tennis program at Browne Academy. She is both USPTA and USPTR certified.

Patrick was the former number one player for University of Mary Washington, a top 15 school in NCAA, and achieved a national ranking of number 7 in doubles. In doing so he achieved All American status for the 2017 season. Currently holding the number three spot in all time wins at University of Mary Washington for doubles and the number five spot in career wins he concluded his collegiate career by leading the team to break the single season victories record.
Patrick knows what it takes to compete on the national collegiate level and is excited to use his recent playing experience to help prepare new high level talent to compete in the years to come.
